1. You’ve made a reservation with Hertz and then found a lower Hertz rate for a like-for-like product on another website.

*Terms and Conditions: The Rate Match Guarantee is available for car reservations which have already been booked direct with Hertz on hertz.co.nz. Only online retail rates from Hertz will be matched against the Hertz booking made. Special offer, promotional, partner, contract (CR), packaged, Tour and rates not quoted via a website are excluded. The claim must be based on a like-for-like comparison of the vehicle type, duration, location, payment terms, rental and rate conditions sold to the same country of residence. The vehicle at the lower Hertz price must be available to book online with an immediate confirmation. Claims must be made within 12 working hours of the time of booking with Hertz and the comparable Hertz rate must still be available to book at the time of the claim. Please call 0800 654 321 during office hours (Monday-Friday 0800-2200, Sat & Sun 1000 - 1900) to make a claim. Claims must include your Hertz reservation number, the web address of the site offering the cheaper Hertz rate, dates of travel, exact car group requested, pick-up and drop-off locations, dates and times. All information must be supplied at the time of the call or the claim will not be accepted. Hertz must be able to verify the claim. If the comparable Hertz rate cannot be verified on the internet the claim will be invalid. Where a claim is successful, the relevant hertz.co.nz rate will be amended to match the lower Hertz rate. Any claim that can’t be verified or where the information supplied is incomplete will not be accepted. Hertz Best Price Guarantee only applies when renting a car in New Zealand. Hertz reserves the right to amend or discontinue this offer at any time by giving 24 hours notice to be displayed on www.hertz.co.nz.
