New Zealand is a mecca of world-class golf courses with the highest number of golf courses per capita in the world. There are almost 400 courses around the country, ranging from six holes to nine or 18 holes, as well as several 18-plus hole courses.
Golfing is almost as ubiquitous as the sea on this island nation. You are never further than one hour from a golf course – and in Auckland, that shrinks to just minutes – and all are easily accessible with a Auckland car rental from Hertz. Golf courses in New Zealand offer good value for money and an array of beautiful environments, including some quite unusual courses. From small rural clubs to premium courses, this is a dream golfing destination. The dress code is generally standard across courses – collared shirts and golf shoes with socks.
Here are some golf courses to check out with your Auckland Airport car hire.
