Gold Coast Highway
The historic town of Coolangatta is the southernmost point of the Gold Coast. It is named after the wreckage of the famous ship schooner Coolangatta, here in 1846. It was among the earliest settlements on Gold coast and still boasts of the rich history which can be seen all around the town.

In addition to all these,every June, Coolangatta hosts the cooly-rocks-on festival which celebrates 1950's and 1960's nostalgia with free entertainment and attractions including hot rods, restored cars and revival bands.
