Queenstown is anadrenaline-junkie’s paradise with all manner of heart-accelerating adventures to be had. With so many to choose from it can be hard to know what to do, but don’t worry, we’ve got you sorted. Check out ourtoppicksforQueenstown thrills:

The Ledge Swing

Right in the heart of Queenstown is one of the biggest rope swings in the world. Summon your courage, pull the cord and off you go, soaring 400m up (and down, and up, and down again) taking in the spectacular views – if you can keep your eyes open, that is. The camera is set up to get some amazing shots of your daring feat.

Shotover Jet

There’s no shortage of jet boat options in Queenstown, but if you want to add some breathtaking scenery into the mix then this one is hard to beat. Careening wildly down the Shotover River into the canyon you will whizz past rocky outcrops, through white water and experience a number of three hundred and sixty degree turns, all under the expert hand of a top class jet boat pilot.

Nevis Bungy Jump

You might wonder how Queenstown came to be such a haven for adventure sports, but wonder no more because the answer is right here in the exhilarating experience that started it all – the Nevis Bungy Jump. A hundred and thirty-four metres of drop awaits you here, making this the biggest, baddest bungy in all of New Zealand.

Skytrek Hang Gliding

Skytrek’s Queenstown hang gliding operation sends you soaring over spectacular landscapes for the ride of a lifetime. It’s up to you whether you want a serene scenic experience or some daredevil swoops and dives. Purchase a video and photos of your flight as a souvenir.
