If it’s luxury and seclusion you’re seeking, Nelson has plenty of gorgeous places to choose from. Here’s a few we particularly recommend.

The Waters

Just forty minutes out of town, The Waters has three exclusive suites, so you’ll need to book early to snag one for yourself. Once you do though, you’ll be rewarded with luxurious amenities and panoramic views overlooking the Tasman Bay. With a breakfast hamper full of local produce in your room you’ll be able to sleep in and cook yourself something tasty whenever you like.

The Baywick Inn

These heritage buildings have been renovated to create a luxury B&B alongside the Brook stream. A family-run affair, you will find a friendly welcome here with gourmet foods and an impressive wine cellar to make your stay more pleasant.

Ambleside Bed & Breakfast

Convenient to all the amenities of Nelson, this delightful boutique B&B of just four suites is a haven of relaxation. With a sunny garden and a spa pool to enjoy, the gourmet meals and well-appointed rooms will make this a lovely place to spend a few days.

Te Puna Wai Lodge

On the outskirts of Nelson, this bed and breakfast nestled in an historic three story restored Victorian house is truly picturesque, with stunning views of both mountains and water. Te Puna Wai Lodge is listed as one of New Zealand’s top 100 homes.

Almyra Waterfront Lodge

As the name suggests, this is another gorgeous option overlooking the water, just one minute from the beach. The Great Taste cycling path runs right past the front door, and bicycles are available for hire. You can catch the ferry across to Rabbit Island where there are many beachside and forest trails to wander.

With so many beautiful places to stay you’re sure to find a way to leave the stress of your life behind and recharge in peaceful surroundings. Get out into nature and let the serenity of beautiful Nelson wash your cares away.
