If you’re after something extra for your next trip, the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® program has you covered. You’ll earn points every time you rent a car, and you can redeem them for free rental days or even vehicle upgrades—starting from just 950 points.

How to Redeem Points Online

Log in to your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® account.

Enter your preferred pick-up and drop-off location, dates, and times on the ‘Start Reservation’ page, then click Continue.

Click the ‘Add a Discount Code’ link

Tick the box that says ‘Use my Hertz Gold Rewards points’ at the bottom of the pop-up.

Choose the type of trip—business or leisure—when prompted.

Select your vehicle by choosing Pay Now (when available) or Pay Later.

Add any extras you need—like a damage waiver or additional driver—on the next screen.

On the final ‘Review & Book’ page, scroll to the Payment Information section and click ‘Select to Redeem Free Day’.

A prompt will appear showing the rewards available based on your points balance.
Tip: Free rental day rewards can be used during peak periods. If your selected day falls on a peak date, you may need to redeem additional points.
If you don’t see any reward options, it might mean you don’t have enough points. Check the rewards chart and peak date calendar for more info.
Once you’ve selected your reward, your updated total—minus the reward credit—will be shown at checkout.
